I’ve been learning about internet marketing for years and have had many successess as well as failures. Although I haven’t made it to 6-figure income with internet marketing, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t used what I’ve learned to my advantage.

If you are in the same boat and are struggling to make it big online, then maybe you should begin focusing your efforts in other areas. This doesn’t mean that you should give up your dream of becoming a full-time internet marketer, however, you would be amazed at just how much you know and how you can use it in other areas.

While you have spent day and night reading the blogs of other successful marketers, researching, and studying new techniques, you could be applying your new knowledge and skills to other businesses. Here are a two good examples:

Search Engine Optimization
Chances are you have learned a thing or two about search engines, content, and how to rank your web sites, articles, etc., to show up on the first page of popular search engines. You can easily create a part-time business for yourself by offering your SEO skills for an hourly or set fee. Many business owners don’t have the first clue about how to market their web sites. This is where you can form another stream of income to reinvest in your own business.

Network Marketing or MLM
Many successful network marketers have built up their businesses through traditional methods such as cold calling, home parties, meetings, etc. The internet and the power of internet marketing has changed the game. If you find a network marketing company that you like and use your internet marketing know-how to promote your business, you can generate more leads than someone who doesn’t use the internet for their network marketing business.

Imagine how fast that could build your business? You could reach a high level within the network in a much shorter amount of time than the average person.

Always remember that you are not studying and learning in vain. Everything you do in internet marketing will help you down the line should you choose to start another business.
