3 Steps to Product Creation For Killer Internet Marketing Products

The internet has provided huge opportunities for the entrepreneurial types. Packaging information to sell on the internet enables people to make a fortune. There are people making millions of dollars a year doing just this.

If you want to join these entrepreneurs, and escape the rat race, then you need to follow the tips that I have mentioned below. Product creation is a great way to make money and this article contains the three steps you need to follow in order to start making and marketing your own products.

  • Before creating a product, you need to find a niche to mine. You need a niche where there is plenty of interest and a large number of people searching out information online every month. If there is not enough search volume, a niche will not be possible. On the other hand, you do not want to create a product where there is too much competition because that will make it harder for you to compete in the marketplace.
  • Develop a product that answers burning questions or solves burning problems. You don’t just want a niche that has a lot of visitors. You need a niche that has a lot of people looking for answers to burning questions. If there are enough people asking the same question, then it becomes your responsibility to answer the question for these site visitors.
  • Find the appropriate avenue to market your product. Once you have developed your product, you then need to put it out there so people will buy it. You can sell it on your own website, on forums or through joint ventures with colleagues and associates. The niche you are working in will determine what is the best way for you to promote your product.

With access to so much information leaving people open to confusion and information overload, packaging information in a way that people want and understand is important and will be more important going forward.

Follow the tips that I have mentioned above and develop and market your own products. Before rolling everything out, ensure that you learn effective online marketing techniques and strategies. This will enable you to be a step beyond those that do not learn how to market their products effectively.

Increasing conversions with Trialpay

An interesting subject related to internet marketing that I like to study is the amount of commercial intention that a keyword has. Commercial intention for a keyword means the amount of sales history that the keyword has had over time. This is an aspect of marketing that a lot people new to internet marketing over look when choosing there keyword phrases. They are often looking for keywords that have lots of search volume and low competition. But they don’t check how good of a sales history the particular keyword has.

So the thing that one has to consider when choosing keyword phrases is not just the search volume but also the commercial intention that a keyword phrase may have. Even though a phrase may have a click through rate (CTR) of say 6% and gets lots of clicks, the sales conversion rate for that phrase might be only be 0.5%. So if you have a product that pays $25 per sale, on 100 clicks your going to make $12.50. Now if we look at a keyword phrase that maybe only has a 3% CTR but converts at 3%, you end up making $75. It’s not hard to see that even though the first phrase that had a higher CTR and was getting twice as much traffic as the second phrase, but it only made a third as much money.

This type of information can be very important if you happen to be running a Google Adwords campaign, as it can mean the difference of having a cost effective campaign as to having a campaign that cost you more then your making. There are also other ways to drastically improve the conversion rate of a product that can take a product that converts at .02% to 4%. Right about now your likely thinking what on Gods green earth could do that? Well it’s a new kind of payment processor that works on a very unique strategy.

The name of this company is called Trialpay, what they do is offer the patron interested in buying your product a chance to get you product for anywhere from $0.00 to $10. How Trialpay does this is by offering your customer a number of Cost per action (CPA) or pay per lead (PPL) trial offers , that advertisers with Trialpay offer in order to acquire new customers. PPl and CPA offers are offers that the patron pays a small amount of money or nothing at all to try a service or sample product for a period of time, usually 30 days.

But the good thing about this arrangement with Trialpay is that you set your minimum price that you inspect to receive for your product. I have always received more for my products selling through Trialpay then I received selling my products through a service like click bank or Paypal. The other great part of this is your customer ends up getting a lot more value for their purchase by getting your product and also getting a really great trial service or product and only having to spend a fraction of what it would have cost to buy your product outright.

Top Tips for Keyword Research

Keyword research is a very important tool. It allows you to find and research actual search terms people enter into the search engines when conducting a search for information, products or services. This is very useful for optimising websites, because if you know what people are searching for, then you can tailor your site and its content so that the search engines index your specific keywords. This will greatly help you in driving traffic toward your website. Don’t worry, there are several easy to use tools out there to help you conduct this type of research.

As a Virtual Assistant, you’ll want to optimize your own sites, and it’s also more than likely that several of your clients will ask you to carry out research for them too. If you find that you’re undertaking regular keyword research, then you may want to invest in a program that will do some of the legwork for you. However, you should always know how to do it manually, as these programmes aren’t infallible, and it’s always good practice to check the results you’re getting periodically.

Here’s a simple guide on how to perform a keyword search using Google:

1. Go to the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. You don’t need to be signed up for AdWords to do this. It’s an external search that you can carry out for free.

2. Enter the Keywords that you want to search for – in this case I am using “Virtual Assistant”, then type in the captcha character text (if necessary) and press the Get Keyword Ideas button.

3. You will be given a list of suggested keywords and related keywords from the starting keyword that you entered.

4. As you can see, the tool has returned a list which I have sorted by local search volume for April. This tells us that there is very high competition for the word Virtual Assistant, and it also tells us that there were 135,000 searches against this term in April. We’re looking for a word that we can use to get ranked high up in the search engines so we can get more traffic to our site. So if we view this list, a good target is to locate a word with at least 100 searches per day. The competition for Virtual Assistant Services is still fairly high, but if we now go over to Google, we can take a look at our potential competition.

5. So, let’s do a search on “Virtual Assistant Services”, and make sure you use the quotations marks or you’ll get results returned for any combination of those words.

Here, as you can see this page tells us that there are 57,700 pages ranked for this combination of words. This is not too high for you to be able to compete to get your page ranked for this word – with a little work of course.

I’m not suggesting that this is the best term for you to try and rank your Virtual Assistant business. This is just an example of what you might want to look at. Be creative and ‘think outside the box’ with your ideas. What terms do you think your clients would search for? You’re going to want to repeat this process to find several keywords that you can utilise for establishing your Search Engine Index niche.

Sometimes having the pleasure to speak to a small group of people allows for more feedback then when speaking to a large group. In a recent class in the state of Maine, I was shocked to hear the following mistake was made by almost everyone in the internet marketing group I was speaking to.

“I didn’t know what niche or product to sell, so I just tried and tested 20 different ideas”.

My next question was always, “And how much did that cost you?”

Based on my rough math and numbers supplied by the Google Cash program, 70% of internet marketing budgets are wasted on testing and trying.

That is a huge amount of money when you consider the thousand of people trying to generate income everyday on the internet. My advice to the group was to go back to economics 101. One of the biggest mistakes new marketers make is that they look at trends and search patterns and make decisions.

This is the single biggest mistake I see everyday in Internet marketing.

Remember in Economics 101, the supply demand graph has two lines, not one. Following just the one line, or demand, will lead to sure defeat. A trend is nice and increasing search volume is nicer, but without the results, or supply side of the equation, you are dead in the water. What does that mean? Well if search demand or volume is increasing for something, if the supply or results number is growing just as quick, then the market is efficient. There is no niche developing if both demand (search volume) and supply (search results) are growing equally.

The biggest mistake you can make is to chase a growing trend without looking at the results side of it, or seeing if information or the resources on the web are keeping up with the growing demand.

The Internet Time Machine is the first program to look at both supply and demand on searches in real time. They did beta testing with a few sites and one great story is the Construction-411(dot)com test they did and identified that modular home building was an exploding trend, but they didn’t recommend to go out and start drop shipping houses. What they found was a huge niche developing for modular architects and designers that specialize in modular homes.

This is a great example of chasing, seeing the modular home trend rising you would be inclined to run out and do an e-book on modular homes, but by looking at results, the Time Machine saw supply was keeping up and the real money was to be made in cost per action campaigns for architects and interior designers. If you had looked at only one side of the equation you would have got caught in a well supplied market.

The Internet Time machine is opening for public use soon as the development of the Internet in China and Asia has created a plethora of niche markets. The video explaining how supply and demand work over different search engines is informative and should be noted for those looking to do affiliate marketing.

Curt Dalton is the mastermind behind The Internet Time Machine. All affiliate marketers should check out his top-class video on how supply and demand work over different search engines.

What is a Keywords Definition

One of the first things, anyone starting into internet marketing should know is what a keyword is (keywords definition), and how they are so important in the development of your online business. We will learn how keywords have an effect on nearly every aspect of internet marketing.

Weather your finding the right niche for your online presence to doing search engine optimization (SEO) on your webpage’s, right down to selecting your domain name. as far as I am concerned if you try to start an online business with out any understanding of what keywords are and how to find the right ones. You might as well just give up any thoughts of internet marketing and throw in the towel, because keyword knowledge is so crucial in nearly every aspect of marketing online.

Keywords definition is one concept you don’t want to skip without understanding it. So we will start off with what keywords are. A keyword is usually a word that best describes the product you’re selling. For example; if I were in the business of selling cars, one of my main keywords might be “cars”. The reason the keyword might be cars is that this word describes what I am selling. When you’re selecting a keyword for your product you have many considerations to think about. Here is a list of the specific criteria we are looking for when choosing keywords.

*A keyword needs to have lots of people using the keyword for there search term when doing a search on the net (search volume).
*The keyword would preferably have little competition from other marketers.
*The keyword must be a term that people use when they are looking with intention of purchasing something (commercial intention).

Now to elaborate on what I mean by search volume, this means that there will be a lot of people doing a search on the internet using the keyword as there search term. Ideally, we would prefer keywords with low competition that have good commercial intention, this is not always possible and not necessarily a bad thing, because if a keyword does have a lot of competition. It tells us there must be some money in that particular niche for that keyword term; the fact that there is some competition means we will have to fight a little harder to dominate for that particular niche.

When we talk about commercial intention, we’re talking about weather the keyword has a history of generating sales based on the keywords past performance. The thing about keywords is that some may have a high search volume, but have a poor history of generating sales; this would make those keywords useless as far as selling something is concerned. But keywords that have poor commercial intention may have some value in generating leads for mailing list. These lists could possibly lead to sales over time from your subscriber base.

So when we look at all the criteria that our keywords need to meet, we start to see that it is not always going to be easy to find good keywords. The big question is how we find these keywords. One thing that we can do to make our search for keywords a bit easier is to go for the low hanging fruit, as they say in the industry.
What I mean by this is we don’t concentrate on single keyword terms, but rather we look for keyword phrases. Getting back to the example of the cars, instead of my keyword being “cars” it might be “Ford Tempo cars”, this is being a lot more definitive about what I am selling or promoting. This also lowers the competition by using a (longtail) keywords definition.

If I were to use the term “buy Ford Tempo cars” now by adding the word buy into this phrase, I will have a phrase with a higher commercial intention. The fact that the keywords definition is such a long search term, lowers the possibility of competition of this phrase.

Now to sum this up, when you use a phrase like “buy Ford Tempo cars” this is often referred to as a (longtail) keyword phrase. These longtail have some distinctive characteristics. The longer your keyword phrase means a sharp drop in competition, but greater commercial intention for the phrase. The only bad thing about longtail terms is they always have lower search volume.

Well this covers this segment on keywords definition. In the next article I will discuss how we find those keyword phrases, what free tools are available to help us in our search. We will also look at how you can use Google to do a lot of your keyword research.
