The Stairstep breakaway plan’s distinguishing factor is the fact that t has representatives who are accountable both for personal sales and for group sales volume. Distributor recruitment and product retail is what makes up volume. A group leader will be selected depending on the sales performance with any representative with one or more downline recruits qualified. The group leader is entitled to different discounts and rebated depending on how well he performed. Once predefined personal or group target volume sales are realized a representative will move up to a higher commission level, such activity goes on until the representative’s sales finally reach the top or final commission level and eventually breaks away from his upline. He is then treated as no longer connected to the upline and his compensation end unless he agrees to start all over again. The uiplining continues until all international network marketing members have broken through.

3. Matrix Plan

The matrix plan is similar to the unilevel plan besides the fact that it only allows a limited number of distributors in the first level. Recruits after the limit are automatically places on lower level positions in the downline. Maximum width and depth is common in matrix plans. A new matrix is initiated whenever the current matrix reaches its maximum width and depth. International network marketing matrix representatives earn unlimited commissions on limited volume levels with very minimal sales quotas.

4. Binary Plan

An international network marketing binary plan permits representatives to have two frontline distributors only. Every time a distributor sponsors more that two distributors, the excess are placed below that distributor’s frontline. The primary limitation is that distributors must “balance” their two downline legs to receive commissions. Balancing legs typically requires that the number of sales from one downline leg constitute no more than a specified percentage of the distributor’s total sales.

5. Hybrid Plan

Hybrid compensation plans are engineered having elements of two or more kinds of compensation plans.

Residual Income, also known as Passive Income is the income you continue to receive through efforts that were made initially in which you then profit from through indirect involvements later on.

A good example of this would be Real Estate. The owner buys a house and continues to make residual income through rental payments on a monthly basis (these would be houses he/she purchased). Realizing this I began searching for residual income opportunities but through research realized that without a wealth of money, I would not be able to invest in any ventures such as Real Estate.

Knowing this I went on the internet and started searching for another residual income model. One that required hardly any starting capital and had a high earning potential. Through hours of searching (I must have been searching for a good 5-6 hours) I came across a business model called MLM (short for Multi-level Marketing) and looked to be the answer to my problem. Only a small investment required, boasted a great compensation plan and the products that most sold werent too shabby either.

So I began my research and to my fortune came across several training articles explaining that 97% of Network Marketers (that is people who work within an MLM) failed in this industry and the reason for it was the out-dated marketing methods being taught by uplines and businesses. meetings and prospecting in highly populated public areas such as the Mall (what’s funny is I read a few stories where people had been ejected from public areas for bugging the public about their business opportunity). Obviously i was irritated, thinking “well, if the succession rate is only 3%, how in the hell do I stand a chance of succeeding”. Knowing that, for some bizarre reason I continued my research of a good business model to promote and join. Through research and common sence it had come to my attention that Social Media was a must for Network Marketers nowadays due to its increasing potential for people to promote their business on these Social Mediums. Knowing that I created accounts at Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Myspace.

Close to a day later I received a message from a Network Marketer called Kevin thomas telling me “tired of being the 97% that fail? Learn what your upline wont teach you and use these secret marketing techniques to become the 3% that succeed”. Obviously I was stoked and excited. Long story short, I clicked on his link, taking me to his website where I began to learn the secrets of marketing online, prospecting the right way and producing several residual income streams. If you havn’t yet worked out what business model I’m taking sides with and recommend to you, it’s the MLM business model, as it has a high earning potential with low start up costs (In my humble opinion) So without any further explanation, following these 6 simples steps will help creating unlimited residual income and success:

1. Choose the right Business Model/MLM Company

Now this may not be the most important part to creating residual income online, partly due to the fact that among the best MLM companies the product should be of good standard and the main factor for success is not what you sell but how you go about selling it (In most cases). With that said, I would recommend seeking out a Company that has been about for a while and preferably has a product which you are more inclined towards or can relate to. The reason for this is 9/10 pre-launches fail, and getting yourself involved in this will only have you looking for another Company a few month down the line.

2. Brand Yourself, not your business opportunity

You may be thinking, “what are you talking about? You’re supposed to promote your product or opportunity”. WRONG! Studies have found that using something called Attraction Marketing (The Law of Attraction, I highly recommend you read up on this) is a far more effective method. This method includes positioning yourself as an Industry leader by providing real value (this could be training, free reports, consultations or newsletters). What this does is put you in the lime light, financial freedom. Learning to market and brand yourself will have prospects poring from the tips of your fingers wanting to join you. I want you to ingrave this into your brain as it is crucial to success “People do business with people, they don’t join companies, they join people”. Provide value and you will become that sought after leader.

3. Use the Internet

Plain and simple the reason most at fault for creating such a high fail rate in the MLM industry is the old-school methods being taught to prospects, which forces them forget the recruiting potential of the internet, focusing only on recruiting offline which inevitably leads them to failure. Not knowing that only around 15% of people have a Type A personality that allows them to thrive with offline marketing. The same people who will call 150 leads only to receive 1 yes and 149 no’s, knowing that the next set of 149 leads may be no’s before he reaches another yes, do you want to waste your time doing that?. The internet has made this industry far more accessible to your average joe and if you aren’t using it, your missing out on a lot of profit.

4. Duplicable System

In order to become successful in this industry, you need a marketing and lead generation system in place. There are 2 ways to go about this, you could spend a lot of time and money in either creating or outsourcing your own system which has no guarantee of working, or you can plug-in to an existing proven system that has all the proper marketing and lead generation materials already. The key here is to be able to recruit your prospects into a Duplicable system where they can immediately plug-in and start learning without you having to be there. Lets be honest, if you had to stop and teach every person you recruited into your business and how to create their own system, they’d either quit or you’d lose too much time. By plug-in them into an already proven marketing and lead generation system, your downline can begin to learn and funnel their own leads into the system and business while you spend time on more productive tasks. Remember, your success is only as good as your downlines success, the above does not mean you should neglect them when they require help.

5. Other Multiple Streams of Income

Another reason for the majority crashing out of this industry within the first few months is the lack of money available. With an MLM company you have to purchase an auto ship on a monthly basis, but most are not able to recruit enough people into their company to cover those costs and are forced to quit and find a job to supplement that loss. By learning a method that will allow you to profit from 95% of those who say no to your primary business opportunity you can produce enough income to cover costs and some even make a living from these income streams alone, sounds good right?

6. Focus, and stick with it

Statistics say that 95% of those who stick with their MLM Company eventually make 6 or 7 figure incomes yearly, instead of going from opportunity to opportunity on a monthly basis, stay focused, stick with one and you will succeed. There is no quick and easy route to make money, no corners you can cut or no special magic potion, this industry does take some effort but if done right the income potential can be limitless!

Just like any Network Marketing company, the vast majority of people are not going to have success in Melaleuca. Just looking at the statistics about any Multi-Level Marketing business and the stats are about the same. Around 95% of the distributors will spend more currency than they make. True with any Network Marketing company, not just Melaleuca. There’s no doubt that for 5% of the people, in Melaleuca will certainly reward them handsomely. Those people will be generating huge incomes and doing the testimonials about how the opportunity will set you free.

So, Do you want to be a part of the 5% or not??

Before you get sucked into the hype, know that you don’t win at Melaleuca (or any other Network Marketing company) by buying stuff that you don’t need on a monthly basis or by hounding friends and family to take a look at your new opportunity. If you want to do it that way, it’s in all probability healthier to seek out other options when it comes to residual checks.

The question is, will you be able to build a large team or not?

You have 6 separate criteria to success in your Melaleuca Opportunity and the people that fail have a deficiency with one or more of the steps below.

1) Set Goals and Committ to them

2) Identify your “Target Market”.

3) Do Your Homework. Research long and hard my friends.

4) Know the Products and be sure your Target Market LOVES the product.

5) Get Effective Training

6) Find the Correct Mentors and do what they tell you to do. Don’t re-invent the wheel.

What I’ve given you so far in this article is a head start on the first 4 steps. You will of course need to make that decision for yourself. I can tell you that the Training you get in Melaleuca is horrendous. Not that they want you to fail but I believe that they really do not know any better. The techniques they use are “stuck in the 80s and 90s”.

If you want to cut down a large tree, you should use the sharpest axe you can find and then chop away… and never quit. That is assuming you are satified with numbers 1 – 4.

If you do not get effective training, you are trying to chop down the tree with a hammer. It may work eventually but it’s going to take forever and most people quit long before they have any success. This not only goes for you but also for your downline.

If you have satisfied the requirements for steps 1 – 4, than I have found a system to help you explode through steps 5 and 6. If you have looked at this company and are not sure you have satisfied the requirements for steps 1 – 4 it doesn’t matter.

Who are the best people and where are the best places to find people to join your MLM business?

Is the ACN marketing company truly a scam? Despite great achievements their reputation has been tarnished. One thing that questions their credibility is that their company structure is framed based on the multi level marketing model or the pyramid structure. That in itself raises a lot of questions. Experienced network marketers will tell you that it is difficult to find a pyramid program that is not scam.

Up front ACN seems like a respectable telecommunications company. Their services include long distance calls, digital phone services, local phone calls and the internet. Their products though a bit behind latest technology seem fairly of acceptable standard but when you look further; you can’t help but ask questions.

As an ACN representative you are advised not to use cold calling or selling methods but to try to recruit your family and friends. To become a sales representative you would need to part with about $400 to get your marketing kit. Apart from this you are required to pay $149 as renewal fees every year plus a $10 a month monthly fee. Funny enough you are not told of these extra fees before you sign up. As if that was not enough you will have to bear the cost of paying for bills that people you signed up refuse or failed to pay.

No wonder there a lot of unhappy comments about the ACN scam all over the internet with many saying the $400 signup fee was wasted. If you are considering being a part of ACN you may want to investigate online first.

ACN has been around for a while but it seems that as the years went by their activities became more shrouded in mystery and the structure became more exploitative. My personal belief is that no matter what ACN has been through in the news, they are not a scam. Do your own research to see if it is the right company for you.

To succeed at this program however you would need the right skills and system.

ACN as well as other network marketing companies still use outdated methods of marketing. That is one reason why so many people have a bad taste in their mouth about MLM. They may have worked back in the day but just aren’t that effective now. There are countless numbers of systems out there that people claim work.

Having a website is great, anyone can have a website today. The challenge is How to Market your Website.

Did you know that having a website is like having a Business Card?

for them to approve and accept and publish online. This would have your website link on it, so readers who read your Article, would click on the link and be taken to your website if they were interested in more information from you.

Free Traffic is also using the Social Network websites, like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, also known as Web 2.0
In these Social Networks which you subscribe to, and create a page about yourself or your topic of interest, and link to friends and other like minded individuals who are interested in connecting to your Social Network, for social and information purposes.

Social Networking is a brilliant way for building networks and relationships, which can lead to business interest down the line. There are also Groups you can join in the Social Networks, to link up with other entrepreneurs for example.

Having a blog, or online weblog or journal, and sharing useful information of interest in your niche is also another form of Free Traffic,
where people can get to know you, ask questions and write comments.

How to Succeed Online in 30 Days with Free Traffic

A very effective way of Succeeding online in 30 Days to see a good flow of traffic to your website, is to have a combination of all the Free Traffic methods mentioned above, all focused in one niche.

- Start a blog in your niche and write a post on it daily.
- Find other blogs in your niche and leave comments on at least two of them, with a link to your blog
- Write one article a day
- Post your Article to at least 5 Article Directories per day
- When your Article has been accepted and published by the Article Directories, post it onto your Blog
- Bookmark your Article that you have posted onto your blog
- Join Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, set up accounts on each and start building a group of people on each. Place useful comments within your niche on these Social Networks, to create a following of interested people. There should be links to your blog and articles on these posts too.
