Internet Marketing—How to Choose a Company by the Product

Very often choosing an internet marketing company is based mainly on an emotional response. Rather than research a company and its product line or services we succumb to persuasive marketing. Income testimonials and the implied earnings of prelaunch campaigns are extremely powerful marketing tools. But never forget, before you choose a company you have to be able to successfully market and sell a commodity of some form or you will eventually have nothing but empty promises and shattered dreams.

Before you select and invest, you must identify the products or services. Is there anything tangible or are you really marketing an opt-in. In effect, marketing and “selling” the opportunity.

Assuming there are tangible products or services, do you “believe” in them. Would you buy them? Do you, or would you use them? Are you passionate about them and their worth?

I heard a great qualifier recently. In any situation, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable approaching your mother with your intended proposition or product.

If all seems to be in order up to this point continue with the following checklist. Some areas to research will be product:

  • Value.
  • Demand.
  • Market competition (must have some).
  • Uniqueness.
  • Income producing potential and typical return on investment.
  • Benefit to your business.
  • Foreseeable future demand.

These areas should be a good starting place for you. Consider the product or products that you will be offering and see how they measure up. Any product that qualifies in these areas will indicate a good possibility for you.

This is by no means the complete criteria for determining your choice of a company, but it should not be treated lightly. After all, you will be marketing and selling their products.

Internet marketing business principles are the same as brick and mortar businesses. A large advertising budget, an impressive looking building and all the appearances of success does not necessarily reflect the condition of their financial statement or your future one.

Appearances can be deceiving and unfortunately everyone using the internet for business can not be trusted. You must do your own due diligence.

Don’t be fooled by a website’s glitz and glitter. Before you choose a company and invest your time, effort and money take a good hard look at the inside. A good hard look now may save you from learning a hard lesson later.

The main reason for this is because to offline brick and mortar businesses, internet marketing proves to be something new. They are not aware of this market and avenue of free marketing, which brings increased sales and profit for them.

We as internet marketers have nothing to loose as all we have to do is to teach all of them the tricks of internet marketing. Basically, offline businesses at present carry out similar marketing and advertising tactics like using coupons for promoting their businesses and perhaps getting listed in the yellow pages. Unfortunately, for them traditional means of advertising does not work anymore. Fortunately for myself and countless others, we are making a great living by offering our services to brick and mortar businesses.

We offer to design websites, search engine optimization email marketing and video marketing. We are getting paid in the thousands for our services, weekly. The best part is we outsource most of the work.

We help them grow their business through online strategies that actually help their bottom line with track able targeted  and permission based techniques.

However what they do not know is that they can save money through internet marketing (while we make money!). Instead of spending money with print advertising for their coupons, we can set up an email service for them that goes directly to their customers. Instead of getting listed in the yellow pages, we build them a website that gets found by their searchers so it makes them money.

We can also offer to start blogs for them, and manage them by adding fresh content on a regular basis, and by perhaps starting an e-newsletter for interested people to sign up for.

So you can see that by offering our internet marketing skills to offline businesses, not only do these businesses flourish, we can also earn a sizable amount through their internet marketing.

There are more tips and techniques to learn by implementing internet marketing techniques in offline businesses. Come get your Free email marketing report. If you care at all about making more money with what you always to, you will at least download and read the report, it’s free!
